Congratulations to Our Newest Black Belts
May 30, 2026
Testing day is always one of our favorite days at Taekwondo University — and this month’s black belt test did not disappoint. Many students stepped onto the mat to demonstrate years of hard work, and every single one of them earned their next Rank/Degree Black Belt.
What testing day looks like
Black belt testing isn’t just about kicks and forms. Over the course of the test, students are evaluated on:
- Technical skill — forms, sparring, and self-defense technique performed in front of a panel of instructors
- Board breaking — a real demonstration of focus and power
- Discipline and attitude — how a student carries themselves, not just how they perform
- Endurance — testing days are long, and finishing strong matters
A milestone years in the making
For most of our new black belts, this test represents three to five years of consistent training. It’s a reminder that belts aren’t given — they’re earned, class after class, one small improvement at a time.
To every new black belt: congratulations. We’re proud of you, and we can’t wait to see where your training takes you next.
